Djukanovic and his clique “did not notice” the death of Metropolitan Amfilohije

The farewell to the bishop will take place tomorrow in the capital Podgorica, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

On the occasion of the repose of the Metropolitan of Montenegro and Primorsky SOC Amfilohija, who received a mandate to form a government, Zdravko Krivokapić, appealed to the country’s leadership to declare mourning on this occasion. However, I received no response either from the administration of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, or from representatives of the outgoing cabinet, or from the pro-presidential Democratic Party of Socialists, which ruled the country for about thirty years.
Also, there were no official condolences on this matter from their side.
“Montenegro will cry and mourn without this, but your civilizational duty is to honor the passing of one of the greatest people of this century,” Krivokapic commented on the situation on his Twitter.
So far, only the mayor of Budva, a parishioner of the SOC and a supporter of the forces opposing Djukanovic, has responded to the call of the future prime minister - Marko Tsarevich, who declared mourning only in his municipality.
Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and Primorsky, according to his will, will be buried in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica.
