Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev said this in an interview with a Kyiv online publication, answering the question whether 2018 could be a turning point for Ukraine on the issue of Crimea.
“Totalitarian regimes are unpredictable. They act as if they are eternal. And then once - and suddenly there is a collapse. The Soviet Union also behaved until the last as if it was going to be there for centuries to come. But then one day they announced that the Soviet Union no longer existed. Russia could fall apart tonight, maybe next week, or maybe God knows when. Therefore, it is difficult to make any predictions here,” Dzhemilev said.
