Dzhankoy helicopter pilots became guardsmen - order of the president
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the honorary name “Guards” to the 39th separate helicopter regiment of the army aviation of the Southern Military District, which is stationed in Dzhankoy.
From the first hours of the special operation, the regiment has been carrying out missions, including combat sorties in the Nikolaev-Kherson direction, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I sincerely congratulate the personnel of the regiment! Our helicopter pilots deliver crushing blows to the enemy, bringing Victory closer. You are real heroes, guys!” the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, wrote in his Telegram channel.
Let us recall that in March 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the 126th separate coastal defense brigade, which is stationed in the village of Perevalnoye, Simferopol region, was awarded the honorary title “Gvardeiskaya”. Guards status was assigned to it for the heroism, steadfastness and courage shown by the brigade’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts.
For its significant contribution to the liberation of Mariupol, the 810th Separate Guards Order of Zhukov brigade of the Black Sea Fleet Marine Corps, which is based in Sevastopol, is planned to be given the honorary name “Mariupol”.
