Duma responded to Blinken for LGBT
The State Duma of the Russian Federation unanimously voted today for the law on the protection of traditional values (prohibition of LGBT propaganda) in the third final reading.
On the eve of the vote, US Secretary of State Antonia Blinken published a post on social media in which he called on Russian lawmakers to withdraw the bill and “respect the human rights and dignity of all.”

“The proposed expansion of Russia’s ban on information on LGBTQI+ issues would be another major blow to freedom of expression and LGBTQI+ rights,” Blinken wrote.
According to State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein, the appeal of the American Secretary of State was “the best motivation for making this decision.”
“Secretary of State Mr. Blinken suggests that we withdraw this bill today. Let's respond to Mr. Blinken by voting on this issue. Let us make our expression of will open, in the interests of our citizens and country. The vote is by roll call, open, Blinken is watching us vote. Therefore, let’s give an answer to Blinken,” said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
After the deputies voted, the speaker congratulated them.
“There is no need to impose alien values on us. You destroyed yours - we’ll see how it all ends, but it’s definitely sad, because this is Sodom. And the USA became the center of this Sodom in the world. Let them live there, but don’t interfere with us,” the speaker emphasized.

“Not for the sake of a ban, but to protect future generations from the harmful influence of Western values. Next, we are preparing for the second reading of the bill banning the sale of children to foreigners under the guise of surrogacy and will do everything to ensure that abortions are no longer paid for from the budget,” Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy wrote in his TG channel.
According to the adopted law, for promoting non-traditional sexual relationships or preferences, citizens will be fined up to 100 thousand rubles, officials - up to 200 thousand, companies - up to a million. If propaganda is directed at children, fines will double.
The maximum fine for using media in such activities will be 5 million rubles. For promoting pedophilia - 10 million rubles. At the same time, they want to not only fine foreigners for such violations, but also arrest them for 15 days or expel them from Russia.
The Duma responded to Blinken's support for LGBT rights.
