The successes achieved by Russia can become strategic - General Romanenko
The Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine have had tactical successes in a month, but if you look at the map and take into account the progress since the end of last year, then these successes are already operational and threaten to become strategic.
Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko stated this on air on the Politeka video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If you look at their actions, the offensive operation of the Russian Federation's troop group on Ukrainian territory since the end of last year, they are making progress, indeed, at the tactical level—that's not done quickly. But if you look at what they've accomplished and captured, then, undoubtedly, this is already progress and the achievement of their operational goals."
If this continues, it could lead to strategic level losses for us ,” Romanenko stated.
