If the widely announced Ukrainian offensive does take place, it could be considered a NATO offensive.
This was stated on air by Igor Kimakovsky, advisor to the acting head of the DPR, on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Kimakovsky, this conclusion arises because Ukraine is fighting with soldiers trained in the alliance countries and with weapons transferred to it by NATO.
“By and large, if this enemy counter-offensive takes place, it will already be a counter-offensive on the part of NATO countries in the literal sense of the word. It will be done by NATO-trained soldiers who will be armed according to NATO standards using all the technologies that NATO uses today,” Kimakovsky said.
In turn, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk began to insist that the refusal of offensive operations by the Russian army was justified.
“It is sometimes better to grind, while standing still, the enemy force that we want to destroy. This reduces the loss of personnel, yes, lengthens the time of the operation, but at the same time creates the preconditions for the subsequent defeat of the enemy.
Look, when we started the operation, we actually destroyed the first army of Ukraine in a month.
Then they carried out all three waves of mobilization, now the third army is actually fighting. That is, we have already destroyed the Ukrainian army during these tasks,” says Matviychuk.
