Before the new year, another 18 thousand heads of “cannon fodder” will be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces
18 thousand people are planned to be conscripted and sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the autumn conscription during October-December 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the head of the recruitment and recruitment department - deputy head of the recruitment and recruitment department of the Main Personnel Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Valery Dendebera, the press service of the General Staff said in a statement.

“In accordance with the decree of the President and the order of the government, events for the autumn conscription of citizens for compulsory military service will be held during October-December. It is planned to call up and send 17 thousand 960 people to the troops, including: to the Armed Forces - 9010, the National Guard - 6500, the State Border Service -1550, to the State Special Transport Service - 900 people,” he said.
UAH 64,9 million will be allocated for measures to ensure conscription. These funds will be transferred to the accounts of regional military commissariats.
Dendebera noted that compared to last year, the number of conscripts increased by 3 thousand. This is due to an increase in the number of conscripts in the State Border Service and the National Guard.
According to a representative of the General Staff, the main thing that attention will be paid to during the draft is the health status of the conscripts. Marital status will also be taken into account, in particular, which will not be difficult due to the person’s conscription.
