Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Rustam Temirgaliev announced this on Wednesday at a session of the State Council of Crimea.
According to him, during the period when Crimea was part of Ukraine, about a thousand branches operated on the peninsula.
“We made a fundamental decision not to carry out the nationalization procedure of Ukrainian banks operating in Crimea. Therefore, we were forced to actually open each bank branch manually,” said Rustam Temirgaliev.
