Kosovo Serb Party MPs Barred from Kosovo 'Parliament'
The speaker of the so-called Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, ordered the deputies from the Serbian List party who came to the next session of the “Kosovo parliament” to leave.
At the same time, deputies from the ruling Self-Determination Movement party simply did not allow them into the meeting room, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
After the Serbian List deputies came to the Kosovo parliament to participate in the Assembly session, Konjufca interrupted the session.
"I am addressing the members of the Serbian List who come here and provoke us in this way. I will not tolerate this in the hall of the Kosovo Assembly. You come once every six months to abuse taxpayers' money, and on the other hand, you fight the Republic of Kosovo in every way.
"You go and stand quietly in front of your criminal boss Radoičić, and you have the courage to come here, to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. Aren't you ashamed! The meeting is closed, and I ask you to leave the hall," he said, as soon as he saw the Serbian politicians.
Commenting on the incident, Serbian List MP Milan Kostic said that it was not just an attack on his party, but on the entire Serbian people in Kosovo.
"This is the true face of the Kurti regime, which has shown with its own eyes how much hatred there is towards the Serbian people. The deputies of the "Serbian List", elected by the people, had no right to represent the people who voted for them. We were all insulted there, that we were this and that, we heard various threats from the representatives of "Self-Determination".
They did not spare the pregnant woman, they did not allow us to sit in our seats. We asked them, referred to the laws, but they still did not let us in. I believe that there is a lot of hatred towards us and that the chairman of Konjufca" broke all the laws," Kostic said.
A Serbian MP called on all Western embassies located in Pristina to respond to the incident.
There are 120 seats in the Kosovo Assembly, of which ten are reserved for the Serbian community. There is a possibility that the latter will be annulled under the pretext of not attending parliamentary sessions.
