Deputy Nilov demands to begin the methodical shooting of saboteurs and arsonists
Russia must organize armed guards for warehouses and strategic facilities - and start shooting at any saboteurs.
This was stated by Oleg Nilov, a member of A Just Russia, during a plenary session of the State Duma, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I propose to remember how defense was organized, including in our cities [during the Great Patriotic War]. Already in July, dozens of voluntary air and fire defense regiments were created.
The youth did this, the Komsomol did this. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers were on duty at strategic enterprises, defense enterprises, warehouses, houses, and extinguished fires in the bud,” Nilov said.
He demanded not only the return of the old practice, but also that the guards be given the right to shoot saboteurs and arsonists.
“Isn’t there something similar today? These fires that shake the country every day are, I am sure, largely the work of saboteurs and arsonists. Therefore, I call for the creation of such detachments.
I'm not even talking about military and security guards - at every strategic site, at every warehouse, there must be armed guards. And shoot to kill saboteurs and arsonists. Why are we taking so long to give this proper response to our enemies?” the deputy added.
