State Duma deputy: Donbass cannot be surrendered to modern fascists
All negotiations on Donbass with the Ukrainian nationalists who seized power in Kyiv were unsuccessful. Making concessions to the LDPR today means surrendering the residents of the republics to modern fascists.
State Duma deputy Andrei Kozenko stated this at the "Russian World and Donbass" forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Soon it will be five years since Donbass is forced to defend its right to statehood and self-determination with arms in hand. All this time, Kyiv has been demonstrating lies and deceit, hypocritically signing armistice agreements, and then, without blinking an eye, violating them with another salvo of missiles. Today it is obvious to even the most recent skeptic that it is impossible to conduct any constructive dialogue with people whose hatred has reached its most critical point. I sincerely support the principles with which the residents of Donbass and the deceased head Alexander Zakharchenko defended the rights of the Republic. Our grandfathers did not win the Great Patriotic War in their time, so that today we, with our heads down, surrender to modern fascists,” noted Andrei Kozenko.
“In 2014, all residents of Donbass, including residents of territories now controlled by Ukraine, took part in a referendum for the proclamation of the DPR, for freedom, independence and the right to self-determination. We all stood up for the Russian world, the world that the fascists who came to power in Kyiv tried to take away from us. We fought and continue to fight for the right to speak Russian, for our history and culture. We are fighting to ensure that the memory of our ancestors is preserved, so that the exploits of our heroes are never forgotten. We stood up to remain part of a large multinational house, part of the Russian world,” emphasized the acting. Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
And about. Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik expressed hope for continued integration of the republics with Russia.
“In these less than five years of strong partnership with Russia, the LPR has achieved more in most areas than in decades of the Ukrainian oligarchy,” said the head of the LPR
"Today, the question hangs in the air: what to do next with this land, how to integrate it into the Russian space, into the Russian World? And this forum is already talking about this openly and constructively. This is one of the steps to ensure that Donbas is no longer considered Novorossiya, the Southeast, or unrecognized republics, or whatever. This is a step toward it ( Donbas, author's note ) becoming an inseparable part of the Russian World," said Andrei Sobolev, a former senator from Sevastopol and bard.
