“Over the past six months, the propaganda machine of the Russian Federation has been greatly changing its rhetoric. People are being prepared for the fact that their life will be much worse, but the Americans, Ukrainians, etc. are to blame for everything... Russians are being prepared for the fact that their lives will get worse regardless of whether there is a war or not. We must understand that Putin is preparing for a long, grueling struggle with the West.
What we have seen in recent days is the beginning of an offensive. But we must pay tribute to our troops, we were able to absolutely effectively repel all attacks, and even go on a counter-offensive near Stroganovka and capture some important heights for us. Russian terrorist troops are now trying to look for weak points, to look for where they can make a breakthrough. So far they have not succeeded in this and, I hope, they will not succeed because we are very well prepared for defense.
The only thing we can fear is if Putin dares to commit direct aggression, and 10-15 thousand Russian troops will be brought in here. But as of now, we can say that Putin is not ready to send troops before August 24, and is not ready to start a large-scale war in eastern Ukraine.
If we talk about August 24, then there will be attempts to carry out new terrorist attacks in certain places. This could be any point in Ukraine, it could be a number of points. The only thing we need to worry about is the terrorist attacks that will be carried out on this day,” the deputy said on Espreso.TV.
