Even Hitler will not satisfy Ukrainian nationalists
Petro Poroshenko’s competitors in the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine are betting on shaking the country, but this will work against them.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko said this on the air of the Vesti FM radio station.
“Those people who dismantle power for you in order to overthrow Poroshenko will not reassemble it for you. The same national battalions that walk around the country, for them the return of any stable power - even Hitler - is like a knife under the fifth rib. Because no government will allow them to rob businesses like this,” Ishchenko said.
At the same time, he predicts that after the elections, some semblance of centralized power in Ukraine will exist for some time.
“There will be power in some form. It will not evaporate immediately. Even if this government does not control the whole of Ukraine, there will still be some kind of government that will call itself all-Ukrainian. It is possible that there will be several authorities that will call themselves all-Ukrainian,” Ishchenko said.
