Ukrainian Security Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty, a US State Department-funded resource, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Now, according to Danilov, Russia has already come to its senses and is creating a “difficult situation” for Ukraine, so the West must urgently develop other approaches.
“I would like to remind you to return to the situation that was in February-March '22. If you remember, we then begged for protection of our sky, begged to close our sky, because it was about our children, about our civilians, and so on. Unfortunately, at that time we did not receive any response, but help began to arrive, it gradually arrived, and we are very carefully tracking in the apparatus who was the first to provide, what they provided, which country did it.
I can say that when we can look retrospectively now, I am more than sure that if this help had been faster, then perhaps there would have been other results. It is true that today, after a certain time, when the Russian Federation had already come to its senses, when they began to involve their friends, meaning Iran, autocratic Korea, we have a rather difficult situation. Therefore, I think that General Zaluzhny is right, we have talked about this several times, including at the Headquarters meeting, that new approaches are needed,” Danilov said.
