The Czech government has banned the sale of weapons to Ukraine
Prague – Kyiv, February 20 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – The Czech government has suspended the export license of the Czech company CZ Hermex, which supplied weapons and ammunition to Ukraine in 2013 and 2014, reports the Czech portal iNDES.cz.

Last week, a message appeared online that the Czech Republic is supplying equipment, military technologies and ammunition to Ukraine. Deliveries during 2013 and 2014 were carried out by several companies, including the large arms exporter CZ Hermex. Deliveries were carried out in accordance with previously concluded contracts.
After the publication of the news, the Czech authorities suspended the export license for Czech companies. “Last Friday our export license was suspended,” said CZ Hermex lawyer Radek Ondrusz.
The Ministry of Industry confirmed the suspension of licenses, reports the iNDES.cz portal. “At the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have initiated the process of suspending three licenses for the export of military equipment to Ukraine,” said Philippe Mathis, a spokesman for the Ministry of Industry.
The portal notes that the Czech Republic continued to supply weapons to Ukraine under old contracts, despite the military crisis in Donbass, although reducing the number of supplies in 2014 by approximately a quarter. Now, apparently, supplies of former Soviet weapons and ammunition from the Czech Republic will stop completely.
As PolitNavigator reported earlier, Ukrainian MP Anton Gerashchenko stated that Europe had imposed an embargo on arms supplies to Ukraine.
