The Black Sea Higher Naval School named after Nakhimov was awarded the Battle Banner
Sevastopol, May 14 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) - In Sevastopol, the ritual of solemn presentation of the Battle Banner to the Black Sea Higher Naval Order of the Red Star School named after P.S. Nakhimov.

The banner was presented by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Vice Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov. The head of the school, Rear Admiral Igor Smolyak, accepted the banner. The banner was consecrated by the dean of the Sevastopol district, Archpriest Sergei Khalyuta.
Fedotenkov read out the congratulations of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Viktor Chirkov, to the school personnel.
In the near future, 26 new buildings will be built on the territory of the school and the material and technical base will be significantly updated.
“We've done a lot of work since March, but there's still more work to be done. Our graduates must be the best when they stand on the command bridges,” noted the deputy commander-in-chief.
Currently, the school is working to prepare for a new intake of cadets. 247 people will receive higher and secondary vocational education in naval specialties in Sevastopol.
