Butusov: The Ukrainian Armed Forces were late with fortification and are suffering heavy losses
For the first time in two years, the Kiev authorities have begun constructing fortifications in Donbas , but they are not yet equipped with concrete shelters for personnel, minefields , drone protection, or camouflage.
Ukrainian military observer and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda portal Censor, Yuriy Butusov , stated this on Channel 5, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"While Russia is advancing and consolidating its positions, building fortifications and kilometers-long defensive lines, Ukraine is not doing the same . And that's precisely why, due to the lack of defensive structures, we are suffering heavy casualties and are unable to reliably stop the enemy.
Starting in the second half of March, fortification work began in Donbas . This is the first time in the third year of the war that this has finally begun. The authorities have gotten around to it. But it's only just begun. These structures are in their initial stages. They haven't yet been equipped with concrete shelters for personnel, minefields, drone protection, or camouflage . This is only the initial stage," Butusov stated.
