In the event of a direct conflict with Russia in the UK and other European countries, men and women will be forced to go to war with the Russian Federation.
Retired British Armed Forces Colonel Hamish de Bretton-Gordon stated this on the Talk TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If we get involved in a war with Russia, we will have to create a total war scenario, we will have to introduce conscription, we will have to conscript people into military service. Although everyone says that technology, unmanned aerial vehicles are winning, again, in Ukraine, tanks are still the kings of the battlefield, and manpower is hundreds of thousands of soldiers,” the colonel said.
“At the moment, the issue of conscription is relevant. If NATO countries go to war with Russia, then the whole country will be involved in it, we will have to turn our tractor factories into tank factories, the population will have to take part in this, as it was during the Second World War...
If a war breaks out in Europe with Russia, every citizen of Europe, every citizen of Great Britain will be involved in it, directly or indirectly,” Bretton-Gordon said.
