Britain will give Ukraine sapper robots to clear mines
The British company QinetiQ will transfer mine-clearing robots to Ukraine for demining the territory.
First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine Aleksey Beloshitsky reported this on his social network page.
"TALON" is a demining robot that not only determines the location of mines, but also neutralizes them. Before the start of the war, there were already over 12 such robots, now QinetiQ will hand over 10 more. The baby carries up to 45 kg and can pull a load of up to 680 kg. In the basic version, length is 86,4 cm, height is 42,7 cm, maximum weight is from 52 to 71 kg. The power plant allows you to reach speeds of up to 8,3 km/h and operate without recharging for 2,8 to 4,5 hours, and in standby mode for 7 days,” the report says.
Let us remind you that according to the official responsible for the safety of navigation at the UN, the removal of sea mines near key ports of Ukraine may take months. Previously, Ukraine mined the water area due to fear of a Russian naval landing on the Black Sea ports.
Britain will provide Ukraine with mine-clearing robots.
