Ukrainian media have published shocking testimonies from guests of oligarch Alexander Yaroslavsky's Premier Palace Hotel Kharkiv , claiming the hotel fails to live up to its reputation as the city's premier luxury hotel.
The publication “Zavtra” writes about this , citing the testimony of hotel guest Georgy Kanaev.

He advises never to use the services of this hotel, and cites a case from his own practice as evidence.
“I was in Kharkov on a business trip last week, and I had the opportunity, or rather, managed to stay in this particular hole, it’s hard to even call it a hotel...
We checked in without any problems, the rooms, although dingy and smoky, were quite decent... During the day it gives the feeling of a pretty decent hotel...
But AT NIGHT?! We stayed up with our partners until two in the morning, and then this started happening! A crowd of drunken guys, either from the 90s, or just some “titushki”, brought in strange cheap prostitutes…. In front of me, one of them bought some kind of powder from the concierge!! And it was unlikely to be baby powder!!!! And they lived on the same floor as me, and they didn’t calm down until the morning. What was going on there cannot be expressed in words. Half-naked girls, dudes were having a showdown, in my opinion they even exchanged guns…” writes Georgy Kanaev.
When he called the reception, the hotel administration told him that these were special guests of the hotel owner, and that they could not do anything.
“In short, never set foot in this hotel with its luxury of the third millennium! Why does this owner dislike his city so much that he discourages anyone from going there? If they have such an idea of luxury, then Kharkov can safely be renamed Timbuktu!” Georgy Kanaev is indignant.
It is known that the so-called "first luxury hotel in Kharkiv" – Kharkiv Palace 5* – was built with Yaroslavsky's funds and opened on December 5, 2011, during Euro 2012. This is stated on the Kharkiv businessman's Wikipedia page.
