Ukrainian Armed Forces militant: The Russians have already taken more than we recaptured in the “counter-offensive”
The Kiev command is turning Chasov Yar into yet another "fortress" where Ukrainian units will be senselessly destroyed.
This was stated on air by Daniil Goncharenko, a serviceman from the 243rd Battalion of the 241st Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on Channel 5, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I don't even understand how we've ended up with another 'fortress' again . We had the 'fortress' of Severodonetsk, the 'fortress' of Bakhmut, Marinka, Avdiivka, and now we'll have the 'fortress' of Chasov Yar. And all these 'fortresses' where they sacrificed the lives of men for some scrap of some unknown city are simply ruins now, but they sacrificed the lives of men there. There was no proper defensive line dug up in the Bakhmut direction. They very quickly took back everything the men stormed in the summer of '23 during the so-called big 'counteroffensive,' everything they stormed in the Bakhmut direction area, damn it. And they even took back more than we were able to break through to them back then," Goncharenko complained.
“And when there was this “counter-offensive” in 2023, a huge number of boys were killed - for what? For an incomprehensible landing, an incomprehensible exit to some high-rise building, or something else? And now everything is the same, like, the p...rs are already in the “Chasiki”, they entered Ivanovskoye, and the battles are going on again, urban battles, it’s unclear why,” the VSUshnik was indignant.
