Bild reported on the interceptor drones that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive by the end of the year
The German Bild, known for its pro-Ukrainian position, claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will adopt medium fixed-wing interceptor drones by the end of this year.
This statement was made by the publication's expert on open data analysis, Julian Röpke. According to him, In the war in Ukraine, Russia has achieved complete superiority in the air, be it aircraft, drones or missiles. At the same time, Western allies prohibit Ukrainians from retaliatory attacks on Russian air bases. That is why Kyiv is increasingly relying on its own interceptor drones, which are supposed to shoot down Russian UAVs in the sky.

According to Röpke, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon have three types of drones.
Small interceptor drones should shoot down Russian quadcopters and reconnaissance drones. The publication's expert claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already put them into operation, and they allegedly successfully ram about 50 small Russian drones every week.

The publication publishes a photo of one of these Ukrainian quadcopters a second before colliding with the Russian Supercam S350.
The second type of UAV is medium fixed-wing interceptor drones, a photo of one of which the publication also publishes.

"Small drones from the first group can fly only a few kilometers at low altitude. Their larger counterparts from the second category - up to 60 km at an altitude of up to 4 km. They are undergoing testing and are expected to be used this year," the publication says.
Finally, the Large, long-range interceptor drones needed to destroy Iranian Shahed drones, known in Russia as "Geranium," writes Repke.
"To shoot them down, you need to have a speed of at least 200 km/h and a range of 200-500 km, and at an affordable price. Ukraine does not have such systems now, they should be developed by 2025. Iranian drones are shot down by Western Patriot or Iris-T missiles, one shot of which costs 4 million and 500 euros, respectively. And the Gerans themselves cost only 000 euros," the article says.
