Beeline and Megafon promise to cancel surcharges for Crimea in 2025. Nothing is known about opening offices
The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media announced that mobile operators Beeline and Megafon have promised to eliminate surcharges for their subscribers in Crimea in 2025.
Beeline plans to offer unlimited voice and internet access starting January 1, 2025. Megafon will do the same on February 28. Both operators promise a basic internet limit of up to 700 MB per day.
However, nothing has been reported about when official representative offices of the companies will appear on the peninsula.
As PolitNavigator reported, another major operator, MTS, has been operating unofficially in Crimea since 2014, but also without opening offices. Officially, their numbers are registered to the Krasnodar Krai.
