As Navigator reported, on April 8, pro-Russian activists attacked buses with police officers and cadets who were heading to the Kharkov regional state administration, which was cleared of Russian supporters that day.
“Fortunately, none of the bus passengers were injured. The servicemen showed restraint in this situation and did not succumb to the attackers’ provocations, although they legally had the right to use special means against them,” the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kharkov region commented on the events of two weeks ago.
To date, it has already been possible to identify several dozen violators who participated in the crime, the “head office” reported.
“Today one of the organizers and active participants in the above events was detained. He turned out to be a 34-year-old Kharkov resident, previously convicted of robbery, who does not work anywhere. His main work over the past months has been active participation in mass riots,” said Anatoly Dmitriev, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The detainee was declared suspected of committing a criminal offense; investigative actions are ongoing.
