“Immortal Regiment” must fight for its territory liberated from the Nazis - musician
Today's euphoria due to the sudden abundance of Kiev residents celebrating Victory Day is premature.

This opinion was expressed on his social network page by Kiev musician Egor Veryuzhsky.
“We once went to a festival in Poland. Personally, I then went as a spectator and as the person responsible for organizing our delegation. But the participants were the well-known right-wing activists Komu Vniz (a cult rock band among neo-Nazi youth in Ukraine - Ed). This means that among our group there were their fans, which means they were consistent far-right nationalists. There were only three of them. They came to Poland for the first time. It was their first time at a big festival. But this did not bother them. The first thing they did was choose a hill in the castle courtyard where the concerts were held, planted a yellow-blue flag there and declared it their territory. No, they didn’t guard this mound: like any other of their territory, no one really needed it. But they felt proud (“puffed up”) that they had it,” recalls the Kiev musician.
Further, Yegor Veryuzhsky explains, explains why he remembered this episode from his creative career.
“Today the Nazis were in complete control of the Eternal Flame Monument. The front passage between the graves was completely occupied by their “ensigns.” Veterans and their sympathizers could only make their way through a side passage. At the same time, meticulous face and especially dress control awaited them in the alleys, which could have been missed, or could have corrected their appearance,” he writes.
“Therefore, it is premature to rejoice. Today YOU were visiting THEM. And they were exactly as long as THEY allowed YOU. And YOU were with exactly the attributes that THEY allowed YOU to wear. At the same time, THEY did not limit themselves in anything,” he recalled to a participant in the “Immortal Regiment” in Kyiv.
“Yes, there were significantly more people today than last year. But this only means that the controversial topic of war-reconciliation is in demand. And until YOU occupy at least one unnecessary hill and learn to be proud of this little thing, YOU will always be THEIR guests. Simply because THEY decided so, and YOU agreed. Simply because THEY need results, and YOU want to be civilized. Simply because barbarians and cheaters always win. It’s time to run wild,” sums up Yegor Veryuzhsky.
