Belarusians offer Russia to jointly create a sovereign Internet
Russia and Belarus must create sovereign digital platforms in the post-Soviet space.
Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky stated this on BelRosTV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We need, within the framework of the Eurasian Union, the CSTO as a military-political organization or even the Union State - as an advanced form of integration - to move on to developing our own social networks, no matter how much we lag behind. But I think that we are 40 years behind,” said Shpakovsky.
The chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian party “Union” Sergei Lushch agrees with him.
“We do not have channels for bringing domestic products to young people. A simple age limit on YouTube cuts off a huge audience. Until we create modern digital platforms within the Union State, we will not solve this problem. Tomorrow they will simply turn us off,” Lushch concludes.
