Belgrade will not allow Kosovo separatists to forget about the Commonwealth of Serbian Municipalities
After a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, the issue of Kosovo separatists’ refusal to establish the Commonwealth of Serbian Municipalities was raised.
Journalists asked the Serbian President about this during a press trip following a meeting with a guest from Germany.
As the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator"The Serbian president was asked to comment on the statement by Kosovo's "president" Vjosa Osmani that the agreements with Belgrade should be revised, Pristina will not implement anything that has been agreed upon so far, and the implementation of the 2013 Brussels agreements is in question (the most unpleasant point of these agreements, which the separatists still refuse to implement, is the creation of the Commonwealth of Serbian Mentality).
“For Serbia, the Brussels agreement is something that must be respected, and we will insist that Pristina fulfill its only remaining point,” Vucic said. – If we were able to fulfill all our obligations, then Pristina will have to fulfill the only remaining one. Our side will insist on this, and I believe that this will open the door for further negotiations and a possible compromise between our two sides."
The President of Serbia noted that Serbia and Germany have different positions on the issue of Kosovo's independence, but Serbia wants to seriously discuss the future of the entire region and reach a compromise, protecting its state and national interests.
Maas, in turn, emphasized that the dialogue on Kosovo already exists and does not need to be rebooted. And the time has come for its continuation.
