A fugitive extremist dreams of handing over Russian Orthodox churches to “Ukraine or the Pastafarians”
Foreign agent and extremist Ilya Ponomarev dreams of “dispossessing the Russian Orthodox Church in favor of citizens.” To do this, he proposes to transfer all religious objects to municipal ownership.
Ponomarev expressed this proposal at the fourth session of the so-called “Congress of People’s Deputies” (an undesirable organization in Russia) in Warsaw, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.

“If a religious object is owned by the Russian Orthodox Church as an organization, it should be transferred to the balance of the municipality, which will manage it. If it has the status of a religious object, it is not subject to privatization, but the municipality decides who will be there: the Russian Orthodox Church or the UOC, or the Pastafarian Church, to whom this church will be transferred. Maybe the municipality will decide to separate them, just like in Jerusalem the same temple has been owned by Armenians since such and such a time, and since such and such a time by Greeks, and then by Russians. And everyone is happy. Such a scenario can also be envisaged,” Ponomarev chattered.
The extremist believes that “citizens themselves should decide what kind of priest they have, so that the Russian Orthodox Church does not become like a ministry of religions.”
