Shchastya, September 03 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Soldiers of the volunteer battalion “Aidar” mined the Lugansk thermal power plant in the city of Shchastya.

This was announced by battalion commander Sergei Melnichuk.

“We mined it. If there is a breakthrough, we will simply destroy it so that Lugansk does not get electricity. Let's stay here. We are strengthening the defense,” he said on Hromadske TV.

As PolitNavigator reported, the Lugansk TES provides electricity to most of the Lugansk region. If it explodes, it will take months to restore.
