Basurin told how the exercises of one hundred thousand NATO members will turn out for Europe

Retired colonel, military expert, and public figure Eduard Basurin expressed this opinion on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to his assessment, the GLSDB missiles that the Pentagon promised to provide to Kyiv are already in Ukraine.
“Judging by the way the Americans are making injections, it means that these weapons are already in Ukraine, and, most likely, they are already being used. Because, if you track hits on various objects by situation, by distance from the zero point of the front, then the shells often arrived further than they seemed to be able to. Our air defense can take them out; we have not yet fully deployed the S-500 system, which is being deployed.
This is actually a new type of air defense systems that operate at different speeds and at different distances. Therefore it is possible. In any case, it is always difficult to shoot down any missile. Well, military operations show that we are learning very quickly,” Basurin emphasized.
All actions of the United States and the West will now be aimed at expanding the budgets of their countries to the defense industry.
“All the rhetoric is aimed at directing as much money as possible to the defense industry. On the other hand, we are also talking about the fact that someone from NATO will attack Russia, but this is still nonsense. This is verbal diarrhea, as I believe, which is designed for the population of European countries or NATO countries, for the military budget and to solve their political problems that these countries have. Everything else is thoughts that allow someone to make big money,” the expert believes.
NATO military exercises near the western borders of Russia, according to Basurin, will not lead to a real confrontation. The Alliance is well aware that they are dealing with a nuclear power, and this is just saber rattling to demonstrate their capabilities.
“The exercises are ongoing, the largest exercises in recent times. They immediately stated that more than 100 thousand military and service personnel would be involved. But no one will attack the Russian Federation, including Belarus, during the exercises. I once wrote an article about the possibility of using NATO troops, either under the guise of peacekeepers, or some other units or formations of individual states on the territory of Ukraine. Yes it is possible.
An attack on Kaliningrad, Leningrad region, Pskov region or the Republic of Belarus, I believe that this will not happen. Still, no one has canceled nuclear tactical weapons, plus the military operations in Ukraine have shown, and military experts in the West say that the Russian army has become much stronger and more mobile, and is solving emerging problems much faster. They also say that we need to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia, don’t even invite Ukraine there, negotiate with Russia.It is unknown whether the European Union will exist tomorrow, but these countries remain for now. Again, returning to the right-wing political forces - they say that each state should determine its own policy, and not someone else. And this is becoming more and more supported. The possibility that if the European Union falls apart, donor countries will begin to break away from it is very high,” concluded Basurin.
