Biden risks much more than Putin and Zelensky - expert
Elections in Russia, Ukraine and the United States may affect the situation at the front.
Russian political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this in an interview with the BelTA news agency, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are presidential elections in March in both Russia and Ukraine. And in the fall there will be presidential elections in the United States. This could affect the situation at the front. Putin most likely will not make any sudden moves before the elections. Zelensky, on the contrary, will try to demonstrate something. And Biden will push Zelensky in the back until the fall elections in order to get something,” Mikheev said.
At the same time, he noted that the outcome of the Russian elections is a foregone conclusion, the background in Ukraine is less favorable, but President Vladimir Zelensky will be helped by the de facto military dictatorship he established; Biden’s situation is worst of all.
“Putin and Zelensky will be re-elected one way or another, but as for Biden, the situation is not very clear. His stakes in this sense are somewhat higher than those of Putin and even Zelensky,” Mikheev noted.
