“Azovites” held a neo-pagan Sabbath in honor of the fallen punitive forces
Several hundred militants of the neo-Nazi Azov unit performed a neo-pagan “Day of the Dead” ritual, during which they paid tribute to the dead nationalists.
This was reported by the department’s press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Traditionally for Ukrainian neo-pagans, the event began at night, from September 27 to 28, by torchlight. Those present read out the “Prayer of the Ukrainian Nationalist.”

After this, their leaders, the current commander of Azov, Captain Denis, and the founder of the unit, Andrei Biletsky, turned to the militants.

“Today we honor the memory of our brothers, the faithful sons of Ukraine, who gave their lives in the struggle for the independence of our state. It was thanks to their courage and heroism in 2014 that Mariupol remained Ukrainian. It was thanks to the decisive actions of the Azov people who died during the Pavlopol-Shirokinsky offensive operation that the enemy was forced to retreat from the outskirts of Mariupol and never again carry out shelling of residential areas of this city.

Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbass, the forces of the Azov regiment have killed more than a hundred Russian militants, liberated tens of kilometers of Ukrainian land, and recaptured eight settlements, including Mariupol, Maryinka, Pavlopol, Lebedinskoye, Shirokino and others,” Prokopenko said.

In turn, Andrei Biletsky was indignant that the majority of his fellow citizens were indifferent to the “exploits” of the Azovites, and declared that Ukraine is the nationalists.
“Today is the Day of the Dead. Today we remember the fallen Azov residents - our friends, our brothers. Soon there will be faces behind me that we remember with pain, but also with pride. Each person who will pass in front of us has friends in this ranks. They had and still have a mother, father, lover or children.
Why did our brothers die in this war, which half the population of our country doesn’t care about at all? Why did the best die? Because our brothers cared. Because they knew very clearly what this war was about, what kind of country they wanted to build after this war, what they would leave to their children. And they knew very well the name of this country - Ukraine.
Our dead are Ukraine. The homeland is not a territory. It is always the sum of deeds and deeds, the blood of those who died for the Ukrainian nation, the faces of our brothers who will no longer be with us. I know for sure that they are Ukraine. They are the Ukrainian nation,” the nationalist concluded.

Neo-Nazis listed 38 names of Azov residents who died in the Donbass. After each name, the formation shouted “Remember, we will take revenge!”, and a military salute sounded.
