The publication notes that the appearance of the S-300 in Syria could really cool down the hotheads in the United States, but the question remains: who in Syria will manage these complexes if their specialists can appear there only in six months?
“Our crews will not fight on Syrian complexes,” said a source in the military department. “We will be located only where this is determined by Russian-Syrian treaty obligations.”
At the same time, the publication does not exclude that the process can be accelerated with the help of another “asymmetric” solution.
“For example, it’s no secret that not long ago Moscow fulfilled a contract for the supply of S-300 air defense systems to Iran,” recalls MK. – This contract, in addition to the sale of complexes, included the supply of missiles, simulators, an agreement for the maintenance of equipment, personnel training and training of Iranian air defense officers.
