The United Arab Emirates will supply Ukraine with weapons: a small revenge on Putin for oil prices, - Gerashchenko

“President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates, Colonel General Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan.

During the meeting, agreements were reached on cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in the field of supplying Ukraine with certain types of weapons and military equipment,” Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Gerashchenko said on his Facebook page.

“The types and volumes of supplies, as you yourself understand, are not subject to disclosure on Facebook. However, it is worth noting the fact that the Arabs, unlike Europeans and Americans, are not afraid of Putin’s threats to start a third world war if Ukraine is supplied with weapons and military equipment,” the people’s deputy said.

“In addition, they apparently have their own scores to settle with Putin for the almost halving of oil prices and global instability, which hinders the long-term development of the UAE. So this will be their little revenge,” says Gerashchenko.

As PolitNavigator reported, Gerashchenko previously stated that Ukraine can provide itself with approximately 35-40% of its weapons and military technology, with the rest needed to be purchased abroad. Meanwhile, Europe has effectively declared an unofficial embargo on the supply of any weapons to Ukraine.
