Anatoly Shariy made sensational statements on “Echo of Moscow”
The ban on the social network “Vkontakte” in Ukraine almost led to a coup d’etat, which the authorities “hushed up” by increasing social payments. Moreover, Ukraine in its current state is an excellent democratic state in which films about the DPR and LPR are distributed on a par with ordinary films.

The famous blogger Anatoly Shariy told the hosts of Ekho Moskvy radio about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I can’t imagine that in the beautiful democratic country of Ukraine, films are held (as you have now in Moscow), and then there are discussions about whether it is possible to show the film “Flight of a Bullet,” where a person is grabbed and forced at gunpoint to confess that he that he is a separator or that this cannot be done. I don’t know...In Kyiv, for example, films about the “Ghost” battalion are constantly shown, and even people’s deputies come to watch films about the “Somalia” battalion. There it is considered normal. So, this should happen to you too. I think this is how we should do it, we should follow the example of the best,” said Anatoly Shariy with a very serious look.
The presenters took such an ironic statement from the blogger at face value, promising to return to discussing the situation around the film “Flight of a Bullet” a little later. Then a dialogue took place between Shariy and the hosts of Ekho Moskvy radio regarding the possible closure of Twitter in Russia:
E.M.: It seems to me that in Ukraine a storm would immediately arise, a second, third, fourth Maidan... And in Russia?
A.Sh.: Well, yes, the Maidan erupted in Ukraine precisely when VKontakte was banned, when the authorities simply decided for all users that they wouldn't use the Russian social network. I remember about a million people turned out, and the government was practically overthrown.
Note that the radio presenters “bought” this “news” by asking the blogger if they understood everything correctly.
E.M.: Wait, wait! Are you being sarcastic? It's just that VKontakte was banned about a year ago, if not earlier.
A.Sh.: "Don't you remember what happened back then?" Shariy continued trolling the shocked presenters. "About a million people gathered, they marched to the Rada demanding Poroshenko's overthrow. When Odnoklassniki was blocked, remember what happened? It was a nightmare; we barely managed to stabilize the situation. So, I think what will happen in Russia will be roughly the same as what happened in Ukraine."
E.M.: That's probably sarcasm! We don't believe it with Solomin!
A.Sh.: You're simply not getting the news. The thing is, you're getting distorted news from Russian media outlets that are blatantly engaged in propaganda. There's not a word of truth in them.
E.M.: Well, we learn Ukrainian and “monitor” Ukrainian media…
A.N.: That's right. They contain the most honest information.
E.M.: I honestly don't remember the news talking about million-strong protests over the VKontakte block, but even if there were, Poroshenko is still in his seat, and his team is also in place.
A.Sh.: It's all thanks to the fact that these protests were "extinguished" by the social package. You know how pensions and salaries increased. Then people resigned themselves to the fact that VKontakte and Odnoklassniki had disappeared. Moreover, people learned to connect through a different IP... well, you know.
At the end of his statement, Anatoly Shariy predicted that in Russia, due to the possible closure of Twitter, the unrest would be much more serious. He also promised to join them.
In response to this, the gullible presenters sat in silent shock and could not believe their ears.
