CIA Analyst Predicts Terrorism Rise Across Middle East – ‘Worse Than Since Hussein’s Overthrow’
Events in Syria will cause a sharp increase in the number of refugees and terrorist attacks in neighboring states.
Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson stated this on the Deep Dive channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Neither Russia nor Iran border Syria. They won't have to worry about refugees, smuggling, terrorism or other nasty things.
"There will be increased instability in the region. Countries that directly border Syria—Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, and Israel—will be affected," Johnson said.
"We saw this in Iraq in 2003, when Saddam was overthrown. Remember the jubilation: 'Look. We're in Saddam's palace. George Bush has accomplished his mission.' And what came of it?
“What happens in Syria will be worse than what happened in Iraq ,” the analyst added.
