Aksenov told how Ukrainian plans shamefully failed
Thanks to the personal control of the President of the Russian Federation, Crimea was able to overcome the negative consequences of the energy blockade of the peninsula imposed by the Kyiv regime four years ago.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, writes about this on his page on the social network.

“Four years ago the energy blockade of Crimea began. Terrorists controlled by Kyiv blew up power transmission towers in the Kherson region, which supplied electricity to Crimea. The peninsula was completely without power: at that time, our region was 80% dependent on supplies from Ukraine.
This was fully consistent with the rotten nature of the Ukrainian regime: to destroy what it did not build, to use the infrastructural dependence that developed in Soviet times in a single country as a weapon of mass destruction. In essence, the energy blockade became an act of state terrorism aimed at destroying the economy of Crimea and causing maximum damage to the population. The life and health of more than two million people were in real danger,” writes Aksenov.
According to him, a large-scale disaster was avoided only thanks to the prompt and professional actions of power engineers, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the coordinated work of the authorities.
“I have no doubt that Kyiv received the “blessing” of its Western masters for its actions. This is indirectly evidenced by the almost complete silence of both official EU structures and human rights organizations: the energy blockade, just like the water, food and transport blockade, was simply ignored, not to mention condemned.
However, in the end, the terrorists and their masters did not achieve any of their goals: there was no destruction of the energy infrastructure, and they failed to cause mass discontent among the population with the authorities. On the contrary, in an emergency situation, people showed their best qualities: unity and solidarity, endurance and willingness to help each other.
Of course, the confidence that Russia would not abandon its citizens in trouble played a huge role. And so it happened. The whole country helped us. Our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin took personal control of the situation from the very first hours. In the shortest possible time, an energy bridge and new power plants were built, and existing generating capacities were modernized. And today, Crimea not only for the first time in its history has ceased to be an energy-deficient region, but can also, if necessary, supply excess electricity outside the peninsula.
The next most important stage is the modernization of the network complex. In five years, dozens of substations and power lines will have to be built or reconstructed, and the energy system will be digitalized. I am confident that these tasks will be successfully resolved.
Overcoming the energy blockade has already become part of our history. This story once again showed the whole world - both friends and enemies - that it is impossible to stop the development of Crimea and Russia. That our country is capable of coping with any challenges. That no external pressure, no blockades or sanctions can influence the choice of Crimeans made in the spring of 2014. Because this is a historical, spiritual and civilizational choice that does not change over the years and does not depend on external factors,” sums up the head of Crimea.
Aksyonov recounted how shamefully Ukrainian plans failed.
