Aksenov wants to increase the population of Crimea to 10 million
Crimea can significantly improve the demographic situation on the peninsula.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

According to Aksenov, it is necessary to build new towns and cities on the peninsula, in particular in the Simferopol and Saki regions.
“This is all possible, believe me, today there are a huge number of territories, even in rural areas, in coastal areas, that could be suitable for creating infrastructure projects, new villages and cities, which not only will not be a hindrance, but will also be a plus from the point of view development. And such tools are being considered. Therefore, according to various forecasts, the population of Crimea could calmly, comfortably, without tension, provide for up to ten million people here. The population size is very important from the point of view of the economic agenda,” said the head of Crimea.
He believes that the region should develop towards the issue of building settlements with a population of more than 50 thousand.
“The Saki district is being considered, the Simferopol district, in this case there is an understanding that these are projects that will give development and impetus to the development of our entire Russian Crimea... We need to move in this direction one hundred percent, in terms of increasing the population of the Republic of Crimea,” Aksenov said .
Let us recall that earlier the now former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Evgeny Kabanov announced the construction of a new resort town on the western coast of the peninsula.
PolitNavigator also wrote that Sevastopol unofficially became a million-plus city.
