Aidarovites, who were refused to sell vodka, staged a night of terror for residents of a village in the Dnepropetrovsk region

Soldiers of the Aidar battalion using a BM-1 combat vehicle demolished a monument to Lenin in the village of Meliorativnoye, Novomoskovsk district, Dnepropetrovsk region. After that, they went into hand-to-hand combat with local residents and even opened fire.

This was reported by the local newspaper "Poleznaya Gazeta Novomoskovska." The newspaper also posted a video commentary from local residents who recounted the details of the incident.

According to local residents, about 20 villagers received serious injuries. The incident occurred on the night of July 26. Security forces and representatives of the SBU arrived at the site of the conflict.

“It all started with the fact that the Aidarovites were not sold vodka in the store. They came out of the store and started beating our boys who were sitting on the bench. Then the Aidarovets rode out in a tank. There were about 150 of us civilians, and about 20 Aidarites.

They were armed, with knives and grenades. They shouted that they had come to clean up. Cleanse us pro-Russian people. One shouted: “I drove into an orphanage in a tank, I’m not afraid of anything.” The man on the tank said that he would crush us. First they started shooting in the air, then they opened fire at the legs.

Then they started beating us with rifle butts and blowing some kind of smoke. Ambulances arrived and took people away. The police became a cordon between us and the Aidarites. The security forces said, people, go home, you are disturbing public peace, provoking our defenders.

We have this all the time here - drunken soldiers with machine guns are lying under the store. We will demand that all this stop. They call us names, insult us, humiliate us. They say that they protect us and we must bring them food. Yes, I’ll bring you food, I’ll bring you a bucket, two buckets. So you protect me. What a protector you are.

Their gang leader told me: “In the DPR and LPR they told us: “Why did you come to us on our land?” And now you’re telling me exactly that. This is our army, this is who fights and kills people in the DPR and LPR. Here they are,” says a local resident.
