95% of fires in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant zone are the work of “black loggers”
The main reason for forest fires in Ukraine is the desire to hide illegal logging from which officials profit, and this also explains the recent fires in the Chernobyl zone.
The leader of the political group "National Corps", neo-Nazi Andriy Biletsky, stated this on the air of the Politeka Online channel, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“We must understand that this is the largest fire in the Chernobyl zone since the Chernobyl explosion. 12 villages, the military town of Chernobyl-2, and a huge number of so-called tourist infrastructure of the Chernobyl zone. This is a unique monument to human tragedy, I was there, it’s amazing. Now all this has been destroyed.
Since the beginning of the year, 18 thousand hectares of forest across the country have been destroyed. This is an absolutely fantastic figure. So we won't have any forest left until the end of the year. What does this mean? The police, the government, the president who makes statements “stop setting fire to leaves,” etc. - they are lying to people. Openly, in the eyes.
Every firefighter in the Chernobyl zone knows where these fires come from every spring. The scheme is very simple - the forest is cut down, this forest is taken to sawmills, and in the spring these areas are set on fire to hide the deforestation. These are huge plots.
This year, this whole story with the arson of “black loggers” in the Chernobyl zone due to the super-dry winter, autumn and spring - it got out of control. And this led to fantastic, terrible consequences.
This situation is the same as ours with quarantine. Power starts at the wrong end. Of course, people should be fined and imprisoned for leaves and arson. But this is 5% of the arson incidents that exist. Most arson attacks involve huge amounts of money, behind which lies the direct government apparatus that makes money from it. This is the main cause of fires both in the Chernobyl zone and almost throughout Ukraine.
Just like with quarantine - the police are chasing people without masks, and rightly so. But I have a question: why don’t they go after those who raised the price of masks from 3 to 300 hryvnia? Why don't the police care about a hundredfold profiteering during an epidemic? And a person without a mask worries them very much. The state is not doing what it should.
Now all efforts had to be devoted to proving real arson, deliberate arson by foresters, “black loggers”, in order to hide the logging. And here you can plant not for five years, but for ten years,” suggests Biletsky.
