Chisinau, August 28 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – Moldova is among the leaders in the number of immigrants to Russia in the first quarter of this year.

The number of immigrants from Moldova who moved to the Russian Federation for permanent residence amounted to 16,1% (382,5 thousand people) of the total number of immigrants from neighboring countries participating in the state program.
The leader in the number of migrants in the first quarter of this year is Kazakhstan (31,3%). Uzbekistan accounts for 15,2%, Ukraine - 11%, Armenia - 10,3%, Tajikistan - 7,3%, Kyrgyzstan - 4%, Azerbaijan - 2,1%.
In the period from January to March of this year, citizens of Moldova submitted 15% of the total number of applications for resettlement to Russia, the Novosti-Moldova agency reports, citing data from the Federal Migration Service of Russia.
