27-year-old Poroshenko official bought a mansion for $2 million

The 27-year-old head of the National Commission for Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine, Dmitry Vovk, bought a mansion and land in Tsarskoe Selo in Kyiv.

This is stated in the investigation of the Our Money program.

Before his appointment to the civil service in 2014, Vovk worked as a manager at the Roshen confectionery company owned by Petro Poroshenko.

Journalists call the official's cohabitant Liliya Silchenko the nominal owner of the new mansion.

“This house cannot be found either in Vovk’s declaration or in the register. It is officially registered in the name of Liliya Silchenko – Silchenko bought half a hectare of land and a house of 800 square meters at the end of February this year... Now realtors estimate the cost of such a home at one and a half to two million dollars,” the investigation says.

Vovk refused to comment on the purchase of housing to journalists: “This is my private life and I have the right to comment on it myself. I don’t have to comment.”
