The West and Russia will in the near future be guided by the “carrot and stick” method in relation to Ukraine, forcing the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
Political scientist Marat Bashirov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, the first results of this will be visible after the meeting of the Normandy Four, where Zelensky will be openly told that he is a weak president who will have to fulfill the agreements.
“The conflict in Donbass has been going on longer than the Great Patriotic War, and everyone is already tired of the fact that nothing is changing, everyone is tired of the fact that huge amounts of money are being pumped into Ukraine, both from the European Union and from international financial organizations, and nothing is happening.
Fundamental changes in relations towards Ukraine will be as follows: in my opinion, serious economic pressure will be organized.
Ukraine will no longer receive economic assistance as easily as it has received it so far.
Secondly, pressure will be organized on the personal businesses and personal property of that part of the Ukrainian elite that will resist the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
Despite the fact that Mr. Zelensky has a dominant position in the Rada, he is able to appoint those officials who should organize forceful support, nevertheless, he is a weak president.
All this will be told to him at a meeting to be held in Paris.
We will see a demonstration of carrots and sticks immediately after the Normandy Four.
President Putin voiced part of this policy yesterday when he said that it would be possible to conclude an agreement for a year regarding the gas problem.
