Zelensky Insults Slovakia in Brussels, Calls on EU to Steal Russian Gas
Ukraine will not extend the transit of Russian gas if Western countries continue to pay Russia for it.
The outgoing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this at a press conference in Brussels, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Will Ukraine agree to a new agreement on gas transit? And what kind of gas will it be, if it is Russian gas but passing through Azerbaijan, will you support such transit?" asked a representative of the Financial Times.
"Our advantage is that we are completely honest, open, and absolutely straightforward in our actions. We will not engage in the continued transit of Russian gas , nor will we allow anyone to make billions off our blood.
And every country in the world that can get something cheap from Russia will eventually be dependent on the Russian Federation, that's 100%, no matter in a month or a year. That's their policy. Therefore, we will not continue the transit of Russian gas," Zelensky snapped.
The overdue president stressed that he would agree if Europe also began to steal Russian gas.
"Today my colleagues and I discussed this, I explained it clearly to the Prime Minister of Slovakia: if it is gas from another country, not Russia, that is one thing. But we do not agree if this other country receives gas from Russia - this is the same as continuing to make money on war - and transferring money to Russia.
If a European country is willing to receive gas without paying Russia until the war is over, that's something to consider. This is an important point for us. But we won't allow Russia to profit from this war.
"By the way, when Slovakia raised this issue today and said it might lose some money, Ukraine is losing much more. Although, frankly, during a war, it's even embarrassing to talk about money, because Ukraine is losing people ," the clown blabbed.
