He is confident that Ukraine’s signing of the Steinmeier formula will not change anything in the situation around Donbass, so the protests that began in Kyiv after its signing were caused by someone’s desire to prematurely “drain” protest sentiments.
“Why did Zelensky immediately give such a powerful briefing about such an insignificant thing that is not even worth a presidential briefing? And these protests started?
Probably someone really wanted these protests to start. Premature. If you separate the turmoil on the Maidan and what was signed, well, it’s not worth a damn, these signatures. By and large, they won’t change anything,” says Arestovich.
Ukraine may adopt a new law on the peculiarities of local self-government with “red lines” in relation to the conflict in Donbass, but statements by the leaders of the LDPR and Western countries show that behind Ukraine’s back some unfavorable agreements have already been reached.
“What will happen if we pass a law full of “red lines” and not allowing the legitimization of the enemy on our territory? We will resist, there will be a new round of conflict. I will repeat the words of the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Eremenko - peace did not work out, there will be war.
It's good that they understand this. Another question is how they react to the statement of the leaders of the so-called. DPR and LPR? How do they react to the fact that the population census has begun there? This is preparation for the elections!
