The Kyiv District Administrative Court overturned the ban on the television series "Matchmakers" and allowed Russian actor Fyodor Dobronravov, who starred in the sitcom, to enter Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The court found unlawful the actions of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in preparing a certificate of the existence of grounds for adopting a resolution banning the entry of Russian citizen Fedor Dobronravov, and declared it unlawful and canceled the corresponding resolution,” the court decision published today says.
In particular, the court declared unlawful the actions of the SBU regarding the appeal to the Ministry of Culture to include Dobronravov in the list of persons who allegedly pose a threat to national security and canceled this order of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the order of the State Agency for Cinematography regarding the annulment of state certificates for the right to distribute and demonstrate the series .
Dobronravov was included in the blacklist - a list of persons posing a threat to the national security of Ukraine - in November 2017. He was also banned from entering the country. The series “Matchmakers” was produced by the Kvartal 95 studio under the leadership of Vladimir Zelensky, who is now leading in the ratings of the presidential election campaign.
