Germany is laying down factories for the production of weapons and ammunition, since warehouses are empty, and Europe must become defensive.
This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Munich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have already supplied a lot from industrial reserves, from what the industry could provide, and are now drawing up agreements with representatives of our defense industry, who must increase their capacity.
At the beginning of the week, I was in Lower Saxony with the Minister of Defense, and a weapons factory was laid there, along with other plans and projects, for example, in Romania. That is, this will be production in different countries of the world, and this will give us the opportunity to produce the required amount of ammunition and ammunition. That is, we must become defensive.
What we do for Ukraine is the same thing we do for us in the future. These capacities that we are now laying down are also for the future, because we do not have this in warehouses. We need to increase these weapons production capacities,” Scholz said.
In turn, Zelensky announced that Ukraine is already increasing its production “tens, hundreds and thousands of times.”
“Everyone understands that we need to increase armaments. Russia is increasing, but Russia will not keep up with Ukraine and European countries. Just so you know, Ukraine is also increasing several times, and some types of weapons by tens of times, some drones by hundreds and thousands of times, I won’t talk about the details now.
