It will not be easy for Vladimir Zelensky to get rid of the influence of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, to whom the comedian owes a lot. Unlike Ronald Reagan, the new Ukrainian president does not have the work experience for such a position.

Former co-owner of the 1+1 TV channel Alexander Rodnyansky stated this in an interview with Meduza, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

“Believe me, reaching an agreement with Kolomoisky is a serious problem. He owes Kolomoisky. Well, how? Listen: channel, money, security,” Rodnyansky said.

According to him, Zelensky and his closest associates from the “95th quarter” will try with Kolomoisky “to play the classic Ukrainian political game of giveaway, in jiu-jitsu - by giving in, you will be on top.”

He does not believe that Zelensky is capable of changing the rules of the game in Ukraine, where the country is ruled by a limited number of oligarchs like Kolomoisky, Rinat Akhmetov, Dmitry Firtash, etc.

“It’s hard for me to imagine that a young man comes from the stage of a political satirical theater and changes the rules of the game by turning over the chessboard,” Rodnyansky explained.

He also considers it incorrect to compare with the situation in Russia, where Vladimir Putin, after coming to power, managed to neutralize the influence of Boris Berezovsky and other oligarchs.

“These are different people. Putin was Anatoly Sobchak's vice-mayor, director of the FSB, and deputy head of the Presidential Administration. This is a serious experience. At a minimum, knowing people, understanding how to talk to them. Plus, he himself is an amazingly internally disciplined and concentrated person,” explained the former co-owner of 1+1.

“The lack of political experience is his monstrous weakness. Comparing him with Reagan, about whom “1+1” filmed a couple of days before the election, is childish. Because Reagan was an official who for many years headed the colossally powerful union of Hollywood artists, and then twice the governor of the largest US state of California, and three times he attempted to run for president. That is, this is a colossal experience of administrative and political life. Of course, he is in no way Reagan. And he has no clarity on a huge range of the most important issues in the life of the country,” Rodnyansky argues.
