The concept of turning Ukraine into an “agrarian superpower” is wrong.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this in an interview with Ukrainian TV presenter Natalia Vlashchenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Danilov, Ukraine must regain the lost Azov and Black Seas and enter the “maritime universe.”
“This is a simplified view of the world and our country as an agricultural country. This is a huge mistake. I will now say something that may surprise many people. Our country must become a great maritime power. We must regain our fleet, we must regain the Black and Azov Seas, we must eventually begin to build ships, we must build watercraft, we must be a maritime country.
The sea country is an exit to the designated sea country, and this is very, very important. If a country is not present in the marine world, sooner or later it will be isolated,” Danilov said.
