“The main reason is that we left the American scheme to support the American shale industry and, accordingly, this fall was arranged for us. The fact that such collapses occurred in the oil market and in the ruble is due to two circumstances. The first is that world stock markets are in the process of correction. For this reason, they collapsed and everyone was scared.

And the second reason is that today is our day off. If we had a working day, both the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank would come to the market with dollars, and then there would be no problems. I think everything will settle down tomorrow. I even think that by our evening, that is, by the American morning, oil prices will already begin to rise and, accordingly, tomorrow morning the situation with the ruble-dollar exchange rate will settle down,” Khazin said.
